Special Lecturer, CAS and WXOU adviser
Martin “Marty” Shafer teaches communication studies, coupled with his additional roles as WXOU’s faculty adviser and community radio teacher at Avondale School in Auburn Hills. Both radio stations double as a student and community station, providing a service to the local community while also giving him the opportunity to guide students in their educational endeavors.

陈军,博士.D., has made significant contributions to advance theory in engineering, complementing his shining lab work. He established the Electrified and Intelligent Systems Automation Lab (ELISA) at OU, which focuses on AI-assisted control algorithm development. Through ELISA, Dr. Chen is providing a unique space to advance intelligent vehicles in order to enhance knowledge in power and energy systems throughout the region.

Since launching a program that offers free health care for the homeless 14 years ago, Judith Fouladbakhsh, Ph.D., has watched her students radically rethink their perceptions of what a homeless person looks like and has experienced. The Holistic Integrative Healthcare for the Homeless program has been a highlight in Royal Oak and Pontiac.
